Wednesday, 11/20:  Readworks!  Thursday, 11/21:  Readworks!  Finish Researcher's notebook for your chosen group.  READ WB pp. 32--39 on the Black Death/Plague in preparation for mid-unit assessment tomorrow. Friday, 11/22:  Readworks due Sunday. Re-read articles on the Black Death/Plague as needed.

Read Chapter 16 of The Lightning Thief  and complete workbook p. 58.

Read Chapters 14 and 15 of TLT.  Sticky note any allusions you come across!

Read Chapter 13 of The Lightning Thief .  Write down questions to ask the class!

Read Chapter 12 of The Lightning Thief .  Complete workbook p. 48 by listing three important events in the chapter.  They can be moments when a character makes an important realization, moments when the plot changes, or moments that change a relationship between characters. 

Finish your one-pager to turn in tomorrow.  Please be sure to include 4 quotes, your reaction to the story so far, the title, and the author.  Words and pictures should fill the entire page!  Make it colorful!

First draft read of Chapter 11 of The Lightning Thief .  Use sticky notes to mark any allusions to classic Greek myths.  Finish workbook p. 46 if not done in class.  Have a great weekend!

Read Chapter 10 of The Lightning Thief .  Use your sticky notes to mark any place in the chapter where there is a reference to Cronus.  Be prepared for discussion!! 

Please make sure you have read Chapter 9 in The Lightning Thief .  If you have, then no homework!  Use this time for make-up work as needed.  Thanks!

Read Chapter 9 in The Lightning Thief.  We will finish our End-of-Unit assessment tomorrow.

Read Chapter 8 of The Lightning Thief .  Use sticky notes to mark any place in this chapter where Percy shows he is on a hero's journey. End-of-unit assessment is tomorrow on Chapter 8.  Please be prepared to compare Percy's experiences to "The Hero's Journey."

Read Chapter 7 of The Lightning Thief .  Be prepared for a quick comprehension quiz!
