Class Work and Homework for Monday, 2/10/20

In class, we took a poetry break and read some poems for Black History Month by some exceptional African American poets including Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni, and James Weldon Johnson.  Then, we created a concrete poem to go along with a poem individually chosen by each student to illustrate their understanding of the poem.

Homework:  Readworks #11 is due Sunday:  "Moonrise."  FINISH your concrete poem/monologue due WEDNESDAY.
