Class Work and Homework for Monday, 2/3/20

In class today:  

1. We reviewed homework from last week: 3-poem worksheet and figurative language/poetic elements worksheet. 
2. We processed "The Wall" WB p. 133 and 134.
3. We read "The Thank-You Letter" and processed WB pp. 131 and 132.
4. We listened to the audio version of "The Thank-You Letter" and compared/contrasted on a Venn diagram WB p. 136
5. We read a letter from President Ronald Reagan WB p. 137 and compared/contrasted it to "The Thank-You Letter" WB p. 138. 
6. We discussed the mid-unit assessment for tomorrow. 

HOMEWORK:  Readworks #10:  "The Road Not Taken"
